2016 Review

God has been working in Cajueiro Claro, as our computer and music classes have gone on strong all year (with our teachers being grow up Living Stones kids!), along with tutoring classes and sports for our 25 younger kids. The soccer team has been great for the older boys, and although they have not won a game yet, they are more involved in the community. We are excited for our apprenticeship program next year!

VBS 2016

July 22, 23, 24 were full of fun as we shared about three "J" heroes: Joseph, Joshua, and Jesus

Unknown Sickness

Helo (Heloise) is the daughter of Pastor Flavio and Mercia. Two months ago, she struggled with a month-long sickness that was diagnosed as Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. It left her young body weak, and was a trying experience for her parents. Then, in the middle of June, she suffered from three days of high fever (up to 104 F). She is currently getting further exams to see if there might be more permanent damage/infection to her lungs, or other possibilities.

Please #PrayForHelo, as she is so young, and has gone through so much. Please also pray for Pastor Flavio and Mercia, as there have been many sleepless nights, and there are still so many unknowns. If you would like to help with any of the unexpected medical costs (there are many) for Helo, please write to amobrasil99@hotmail.com.

It has been amazing to see God work through the Travassos family! Their love and leadership of the church and Living Stones at Cajueiro Claro is a blessing to everyone. Thank you for remembering to #PrayForHelo.

Celebrating Church Camp

This year, from February 6-10, many of the different churches made sure to have a camp, get-away, or some kind of positive purpose for Carnaval week. Cajueiro Claro had church camp at one of the near-by beaches. Throughout the time, 17 children and adults had a wonderful time filled with rest, fellowship, worship, and God's Word.

The highlight, as most years, is the last evening, when they set up a time of prayer and worship right on the beach as they watch the moon rise over the water. Thank you to those who made sure that the children from Living Stones had the opportunity to earn a scholarship to come to camp!
